Overview
Join us for the 3rd annual Big Jungle Run.
This themed fun run tours scenic Burnaby Lake Park.
Starting across from the Rugby Club on the all weather field, the course winds its way along trails surrounded by green foliage.
With minimal inclines, a mixture of gravel and woodchip trail pathways, everyone is assured a beautiful and accessible run, jog or walk. The route is suitable for all ages and abilities. Leashed dogs and strollers welcome (both please start in final wave; strollers ensure you have wheels suitable for unpaved trails)

How to get there
The site is easily accessible by local transit, as well as by bicycle and walking via local trails.

Transit: Closest stop is Bus 110 and 114 with a stop on Norland Ave at Sprott St
SKYTRAIN station Sperling-Burnaby Lake is a short walk down the Central Valley Greenway to the event site.
​
If you are planning on driving please car share, both for the environment and to allow plenty of space for fellow participants and park users.
​
Limited Parking is available in the Burnaby Lake Parking Lot off Sperling Ave.

About Backpack Buddies
Families across BC living in poverty struggle to keep food on the table over the weekends when school meal programs are closed.
For almost 4,000 families, Backpack Buddies provides a weekly bag of food including nine meals and snacks to feed children the weekend and beyond. From seaweed snacks and hummus to sweet peppers and tuna, our bags are loaded with kid-approved food to keep kids growing.
Every $20 you give provides nine meals and snacks to a hungry child in your community.
